FlightAware operates a worldwide network of ADS-B receivers that track ADS-B-equipped aircraft on the ground at thousands of airports around the globe. FlightAware is also able to track non-ADS-B equipped airplanes by leveraging airport surface detection equipment (ASDE-X) at over 35 airports in the US.

• Airports where FlightAware have the highest number of surface positions are displayed on the map. FlightAware has additional surface coverage for airports that are not listed here.
• The surface coverage map displays one week of aggregated position data and is generated weekly.
• ADS-B and ASDE-X data include both vehicle positions and aircraft positions.
• Many FBOs have comprehensive FlightAware ground coverage and their ramp/hangar areas are configured for identification.
